Integrative Processing Technique (IPT)
I graduated from the Institute of Healing Arts in Lindon, Utah, December 2018. I'm currently in my second year of the graduate program. The cost of a Process is $50 for adults and $35 for children. Processes usually take between 1-2 hours and can be done in person or over the phone, Skype, or Zoom.
What is the Integrative Processing Technique?
IPT includes various modalities--speaking out feelings, guided imagery, visualization and recognizing past coping strategies that may have worked at the time, but are no longer productive. We focus on recognizing the lies we think about ourselves from our past, personal emotional programming and replacing that with the truth about your authentic self. As we visit past experiences, we can release the negative emotions and beliefs, re-parent, gain understanding and a clearer perception of the events from a place of love, forgiveness and healing.
"Our perception is colored by the beliefs we hold in our mind. These beliefs create our attitudes, emotions, and physiological reactions to the challenges we face in our daily lives. When we revisit our negative beliefs and clear emotional negativity, we open a space for our heart to forgive and heal. Whether you are acutely aware of painful experiences from the past that are in need of healing, or simply interested in releasing stress, the Integrative Processing Technique (IPT) is an adaptable, energetic healing practice that creates life-changing results." Who Can Benefit
People from all walks of life, and all ages can see positive results from IPT. It's great for children, teens and adults of any age.
What IPT looks like - see here
Individuals working with the technique have seen improvement in all areas of life, including (and more!!):
Stress relief Relationships and marriage
Parenting Self-esteem and self-worth
Abuse / Neglect Career satisfaction
Health General well-being
Each IPT session is lead by a qualified facilitator in a quiet space in-person or over-the-phone. A typical process for an adult lasts about an hour and a half, children generally an hour or less.
Your facilitator helps to identify an age to work on. Together, you and the facilitator identify belief patterns, choices, and emotional perceptions at that age. Through verbal expression and visualization, you and the facilitator release the negative emotions and patterns, coming to a place of healing.
In an IPT session, facilitators may use guided imagery, applied kinesiology (muscle response testing), Neuro-Linguistic Programming, chakra work, speaking out feelings, role play, emotional release work, guided visualization and meditation techniques.
IPT and Traditional Therapies
IPT can help to support and further the work of those in traditional counseling or therapy. IPT itself is not traditional counseling or therapy, in that it does not include diagnosing or prescribing medication. Instead, processing is associated with psycho-neuro-immunology (PNI). This science focuses on how our thoughts and feelings affect our health.
